The event aims to raise awareness among postdoctoral researchers about the strategic priorities of the SAFE HEARTS PLAN and the broader European policy framework for cardiovascular health.
Organised by CNIC with the participation of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the programme will feature contributions from MSCA Cure Heart and Brain Brain and Heart fellows at CNIC, who will present thematic overviews and moderate the discussions across the different thematic blocks.
A central component is a series of multi stakeholder round tables bringing together researchers, policy makers, industry representatives and patient organisations, fostering dialogue on how scientific evidence can be translated into policy and practice. By creating direct interaction between young scientists and key stakeholders, the programme highlights the role of translational research in advancing prevention, early detection, health equity and the implementation of European strategies to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease.
It is designed to engage MSCA and ERC researchers and other early career researchers as the main target audience, offering them a unique opportunity to understand how their research can contribute to European cardiovascular health priorities. Discussions structured around four thematic areas:
